^ Saw this ad in my coupon booklet. It grabbed my attention because i saw a woman in a navy uniform. I Don't necessarily agree with how they are advertising the recruitment of men in the navy but i enjoy the idea of women fighting for our country. My reasoning for my dislike is due to the fact that they are talking down women by saying that if you don't join the navy you are a woman. What men do you know that would let someone call them a woman? not my husband. and deffinately none of my brothers.
Is it wrong of me to look at these ads with disgust? I am deeply motivated to buy Liberty Bonds, but i feel that by spending my money on the war, i am keeping my husband in it. I am a Woman who has children with mouths to feed and house payments to make. My Husband was the one with education and a job. How could i look him in the eye and tell him i lost the house but was able to spend money on the government.
Today in the Paper i read an article discussing the cons of the United States fighting in the war. I had no idea that the economy was in such decline. Because war bonds are falling through, buisinesses and people are loosing money right and left. It's hurting the war, not helping.
