World War I Maps


This map graphically shows which countries were in the war and which side that they faught for. The Triple Alliance is highlighted in green, while the Triple Entente is in pink. As the map portrays, the Allied Powers surrounded the Central Powers on every side and this brought them an advantage in the war.
This is a map of where three important wars were faught. The Western front is where the Germans made a move into the French land. This was the first major area where trench warfare was used. Gallipoli is the middle red burst. It was a war faught between mainly the Australians and the Turks for land. Thousands of people died and the losses were catastrophic. The Middle East burst is a spot in which another war front was found.
